On the occasion of International Women’s Day, which coincides with the film’s release, the Foundation wishes to raise awareness among the public at large of the problem of female genital mutilation, and rally the Group and its brands’ support for the Desert Flower film through:

• the internal and external circulation of information on the film’s release and its theme
• a ‘charity’ preview, organised on Sunday March, 7 to generate funds for the ‘pilot project promoting the elimination of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the health region of Kayes, in Mali’ lead by the organisation “Equilibres et Populations” (a French NGO dedicated to promoting reproductive health and education in West Africa) to which all the profits will be given.
• a week of information, exhibitions and meetings scheduled in partnership with Fnac stores in France, including those in Paris and Boulogne, Nantes, Lyon and Grenoble.
