Contributing the entrepreneurship spirit, skills and expertise of PPR employees is the basic principle of the sponsorship offered by the Kering Foundation to four social entrepreneurs each year, to help them grow their business while blending economic efficiency and beneficial social impact in favour of women.
In the course of the selection process for social entrepreneurs, the Kering Foundation identifies initiatives in areas where the business, location or skills needs are likely to benefit from efficient guidance from the Group to help step up their growth. Discussions with the project proposers are then held to define the needs more precisely.
The Foundation then contacts Kering staff members with similar experience willing to meet with the project proposer and provide guidance in developing his/her strategic options. Affinities between the social entrepreneur and the employee sponsor are essential to ensure a fruitful assistance.
In addition to a €15,000 fellowship grant awarded to each selected social entrepreneur, the sponsorship overseen by the Foundation Management Team involves the sponsor meeting at least once every 3 months with the social entrepreneurs for one year to provide support and guidance in growing their business project. It is first and foremost a great human adventure!
Support and guidance to social entrepreneurs may cover a variety of specific needs and skills: communication, human resources, business management, development model, etc. If you have significant experience in any field and would like to share it with social entrepreneurs, please contact us by e-mail at the Foundation address. Depending on the projects selected and needs identified, your own expertise could help contribute to the sponsoring programme.
