Pesinet: presentation video of the NGO's activities in Mali
Anne Roos-Weil, co-founder of the Pesinet association,won a Social Entrepreneurs Award on June 9, 2010.The NGO, fighting against infant and maternal mortality, has created a community e-healthcare service offering prevention, early detection and treatment of simple illnesses at an affordable cost to the families, via regular follow-ups of health information. It relies on a local network of women acting as community health workers.

The story of Celine and Jean, members of a village savings and loan association in Burundi
Since July 2009 the PPR Foundation supports the International Rescue Committee's project in Burundi. The programme sets up self-selected groups of women and men providing savings and loan opportunities. Besides, the members take part to discussions groups about the place of woman in the household. Amélie and Layla: School teachers at the end of the trail
In October 2010, Amélie and Layla, both Fnac employees, travelled to the village of Boukombé, in northern Benin, on a solidarity leave. Their assignment consisted in tutoring elementary school children in reading and French speaking. Beneath the straw huts built within the school compound, the two volunteers provided personalised support to the schoolchildren.

Building a boarding school for Cambodian female students
Antoine Delzons, management controller at Vertbaudet, traveled to Takeo in Cambodia on a solidarity leave with the NGO Coup de Pouce to build a boarding school for girls. The establishment will provide inexpensive lodging for students along with various learning programmes in agriculture, IT or tourism.

Rwanda Avenir: Hibiscus Café, the Community House restaurant is now open!
The construction of the restaurant, started in November 2009, was completed in September 2010. The restaurant of the Community House, a place of shelter and encounters for genocide survivor widows and victims, is now open.
