The Kering Foundation supports local organizations specialized in combating gender-based violence and violence against children. These organizations either deliver vital care and services to survivors and victims of violence or run prevention programs aimed at younger generations to promote positive mindsets and behaviors. Lastly, we strive to foster collaboration between anti-violence actors.

How we focus our support
In line with our guiding principles, we support organizations:
- That promote inclusivity and are specialized in addressing violence against women and children.
- That operate on a national or local scale, are registered and present in one of the below countries: France, Italy, Korea, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States.
- By prioritizing flexible and unrestricted funding that is consistently in tune with the needs of grantees.
- By favoring a minimum three-year period, to improve scheduling and management of subsidies, and develop longer-lasting programs.
- In a small number in each country, to channel our resources where they will achieve transformative change.
Kering Foundation does not fund religious organizations, political parties, professional unions, individuals or public bodies.

What we look for in our future partner?
Above criteria aside, we favor initiatives that:
- offer a model that is scalable and innovative, or that could be explored, tested and replicated;
- demonstrate the potential for high, measurable impact;
- explore the intersection of violence against women and against children;
- factor in collaborative practices with other organizations and networks;
- will considerably benefit from the Kering Foundation’s contribution to their mission.
How we determine grantees
Most of our work focuses on direct screening. We actively source organizations, consulting leading actors and meeting with potential partners. We then conduct field visits before discussing organizational needs and fundable programs.
The Kering Foundation does not issue calls for proposals.
