Press release July 7th, 2026
The Caring for Women Dinner, presented by the Kering Foundation, will return to New York City for its fifth edition on Thursday, September 10, at The Pool. Founding co-hosts Salma Hayek Pinault and François-Henri Pinault will host the evening alongside Pamela Anderson, Simone Biles, Benicio Del Toro, Nacho Figueras, Dakota Johnson, and Lorna Simpson. The evening will raise funds for organizations working to end gender-based violence.
Since its launch in 2022, the Caring for Women Dinner has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural gatherings of New York Fashion Week, convening leading figures from fashion, film, art, music, sports, and philanthropy around the Kering Foundation’s mission to help women and children live free from violence. The evening will feature a special performance and a live auction of one-of-a-kind items and experiences from Kering’s Houses, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, and Ginori 1735.
In 2025, the Caring for Women Dinner raised over $4.5 million to help end gender-based violence and improve the lives of survivors. This year, proceeds will benefit Activating Change, Fondo Semillas, JBWS and The New York Women’s Foundation.
“Salma and I created the Caring for Women Dinner to raise essential funds for organizations working to end gender-based violence and to mobilize a broader community around this critical mission at the heart of the Kering Foundation’s work,” says François-Henri Pinault, Chairman of Kering and the Kering Foundation. “As we mark its fifth edition, the dinner stands as a powerful reminder of what this community can achieve when it comes together with purpose.”
Founded in 2008, the Kering Foundation is committed to building a world free from gender-based violence, in which women and children can live safely and thrive. It partners with local specialized non-profit organizations across six countries to support survivor-centered services and prevention programs. It also mobilizes its networks to take action, raise awareness, and collect critical funds to end violence against women and children.
“For nearly two decades, the Kering Foundation has worked alongside specialist organizations to prevent gender-based violence, support survivors, and help break cycles of violence before they continue to the next generation. The Caring for Women Dinner is an important expression of that commitment, bringing together a community whose generosity helps turn awareness into concrete resources for organizations doing this work every day,” says Marie-Claire Daveu, Chief Sustainability and Institutional Affairs Officer, Kering.
Funds raised at this year’s Caring for Women Dinner will benefit the following organizations:
-
Activating Change: Activating Change is the only U.S. nonprofit focused on ending violence against people with disabilities and Deaf people. Through advocacy, prevention, movement building, and direct services, the organization advances safety, dignity, healing, and inclusion while elevating the leadership of the communities it serves. Activating Change works to ensure disability is never a barrier to safety—and that every survivor can access the support they need.
-
Fondo Semillas: Fondo Semillas is a nonprofit organization in Mexico dedicated to providing funding, training, and support to women's groups working to advance gender equality. Through economic resources and long-term partnerships, it helps build fairer, freer, and more equitable communities. Over the past 35 years, it has supported initiatives that have positively impacted 5.1 million people.
-
JBWS: Founded in 1976, JBWS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence and empowering survivors through trauma-informed services, education, and advocacy in Morris and Passaic Counties (New Jersey). It offers a continuum of care that includes a 24-hour helpline, emergency shelter, transitional housing, legal advocacy, counseling services, children's programs, crisis intervention, prevention education, and services for individuals seeking alternatives to abusive behavior.
-
The New York Women's Foundation/The Girls and Young Women Fund: The New York Women's Foundation enables women, girls, and gender-expansive people to achieve economic security, exercise agency over their lives, and thrive in safe, equitable communities. Established in 2015, the Girls and Young Women Fund supports young women and gender-expansive youth (ages 15–26) in New York City's least-resourced communities. By investing in direct services, leadership development, and advocacy, it empowers young people as agents of change while advancing gender, racial, and economic justice.
About the Kering Foundation Established in 2008, the Kering Foundation envisions a world free from violence for women and children, in which they can live safely and thrive.
