One In Three Women

ACTING TOGETHER
FRANCE

The first European Network of Companies committed to combating violence against women

In 2018, the Kering Foundation co-founded One In Three Women, the first European network to encourage other companies to support survivors amongst their own employees with concrete measures. It currently brings together 16 companies: Kering, L'Oréal, Korian, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, the OuiCare Solidarity Fund, Publicis, SNCF, L'Epnak, Pwc, l'Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Orange, Superga Beauty, Air France, Sanofi and La Poste.
Working together and sharing best practices, the coalition has developed awareness toolkits, face-to-face trainings based on the Kering Foundation model, corporate policies, and an online-learning in 7 languages.

In November 2019, the One In Three Women network revealed the results of its multicompany European study to measure the impact of domestic violence on the workplace and outline concrete measures for companies. The study found that:

  • More than half of survivors reported issues at work (lateness, absenteeism and/or presenteeism) due to domestic violence.
  • 37% of survivors said they had discussed their domestic violence experiences with someone at work.

Alongside members of the One In Three Women network, the Foundation also supported the International Labour Organization’s adoption of the landmark Violence and Harassment Convention (C190), the first global treaty to explicitly include domestic violence and its link to the world of work.
